Senior Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer (Remote)

The Space and Defense Group Quality Team is looking for a Senior Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer on the West Coast to help us collaborate with suppliers, Moog engineering and supply chain personnel to ensure purchased parts meet objectives in terms of Quality, Delivery, Lead Time, and Cost.
Working remotely is an option if you reside in the Western United States.
Day- to-Day Responsibilities:
- Supplier onboarding and selection.
- Advanced Product Quality Planning.
- Production Readiness Reviews.
- Purchased Part Approval Plans.
- Supplier Performance Management and Control.
- Supplier Development activities.
Minimum Qualifications to be considered…
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Other four-year technical degrees may be considered.
- Experience in semiconductor, Printed Circuit Board, and electrical and electro-mechanical assembly manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated experience with quality engineering tools such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Six Sigma, Lean, and advanced problem solving.
- Travel 25-50% of the time.
Desired qualifications include…
- Strong facilitative leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen, and experience dealing with suppliers and/or customers.
- Knowledge of industry standards including certifications in J-STD-001, J-STD-001 Space Addendum, IPC 600, 610, 620, 7711/7721 desired.
- Knowledge of NASA-STD-8739.1, NASA-STD-8739.3 Solder, and NASA-STD-8739.4 is a plus.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 desired. Certified auditor is a plus.
