Associate Planning Analyst

The Associate Planning Analyst is the central base upon which all phases of Production Control operation are planned, controlled, and monitored to ensure on-time completion of Moog's commitments to its customers. Basic knowledge of the operation and the nuances specific to their particular program/value stream responsibility is required. The Associate Planning Analyst is responsible for the entire program or value stream, from the acquisition of component parts to the shipping of those end items.

In this role, you will be accountable for:

  • Analysis and maintenance of part planning parameters in line with the established materials strategy, inventory plan, and demand profile of the business.
  • Conversion of demand signals into Work Orders in accordance with defined planning systems and processes, using DDMRP work tools.
  • Tracking and acting on material shortages and lead times to mitigate all risks to the production plan
  • Developing achievable and balanced production plans that align with customer demands/schedules, through capacity analysis and collaboration with appropriate team members.
  • Escalating impacts to plan or customer.
  • Determining Engineering Order change effectiveness and impacts on schedules or obsolescence management.
  • Participating in meetings with cross-functional teams to discuss individual piece part/program status, and support audits as needed for customer owned inventory.
  • WIP on planner code and maintain optimal levels for the value stream.
  • Providing work center scheduling method/clear to build status
  • Facilitating the analysis, review, and update of the Planning Bill of Materials (PBOMs) in accordance with demand changes.
  • Constructing Line of Balance (LOBs). Communicating identified gaps and priorities. Monitoring progress to completion.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, within the functional planning department as well as the Value Stream teams.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, or an Associate Degree with two or more years of experience, or at least five years of progressive experience directly to the described duties.
  • Planning, operations, or technical background is preferable.
  • Experience with DDMRP methodology for demand recognition and execution is a plus.
  • APICS or other industry-standard certifications are a plus.
  • Good communication/organizational skills and be able to demonstrate an understanding of complex regulations/procedures.
  • Able to prioritize a variety of tasks at any one time and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • This job requires access to US export-controlled information.
