MOOG Space and Defense Group is the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for the following markets: satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, naval vessels, and security and surveillance. Emerging areas of focus include metal additive manufacturing, blockchain for supply chain, sensor integration, and propulsion test facilities.
We are looking for an accomplished and motivated Buyer to work at the Gilbert facility,
located at 2228 W Guadalupe Road, Gilbert, AZ 85233.
*This role is a hybrid role. 2-3 days in the office the remaining days working remotely*
Job Responsibilities
- Process requisitions, which include sourcing, cost and price analysis, and purchase order generation
- Perform new supplier evaluation, existing supplier management and resolving sourcing issues
- Manage open orders to maintain the needed delivery of goods and services
- Provide pricing information that will be used to support cost proposals being made to our customers
- Work with the design, manufacturing, material and process engineers to match supplier capabilities and design requirements.
Required Qualifications
To effectively perform this function, the incumbent should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree plus 3- 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent) with at least 2 years in purchasing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business
- Supply Chain Management degree is a plus as well as previous internships in the purchasing field
