Director of New Ventures in Robotics – Moog Construction

At Moog Construction our goal is to capitalize on the global macro trends of sustainability and productivity, by developing technological disruptions in electrification, automation, and connectivity. We are pursuing a portfolio of several strategic options including: Zero Emissions Systems, Advanced & Automated Machine Controls, Autonomous & Special Purpose Moog Vehicles, and Digital & Cloud Services.

We are searching for a Director of New Ventures in Robotics to lead our ventures in automation and robotics. We are looking for someone who is motivated by getting in at the ground level of a new business and helping to shape an exciting piece of the future of Moog.

Job Summary:

The Director of New Ventures in Robotics will create transformative growth by developing a new business within the mobile machinery market through technological disruption in robotics and automation.

This role is very similar to an entrepreneur who is developing a new company, but in this case has horsepower of the broader Moog organization to pull upon.  This role is responsible to drive and own the New Venture Creation Process in order to develop propositions that solves customer problems and deliver value to both the customer and Moog.

The Director of New Ventures in Robotics will develop a cohesive business strategy, create and test technology/product-market fit, establish strategic partnerships and relationships, develop go-to-market strategies and business models, build a strong team, and scale the business to drive significant growth.

The role reports to GVP & GM of Moog Construction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. This experience will have included the management of complex or substantial activities
  • Experience starting/running a business is a plus

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
