Job Summary
Moog Inc is looking for a Finance Director to join Tritech International based in Ulverston, Cumbria.
Tritech is a high-technology business dedicated to providing the most reliable imaging and ancillary equipment for use in underwater applications.
Through a truly international customer base, Tritech’s cutting edge technology has been adopted as the preferred choice in an expanding variety of sub-sea applications including deep sea infrastructure, marine life tracking systems and diver search & recovery operations.
With the backing of its parent company Moog, Tritech is now poised to launch more new products providing underwater solutions for our customers worldwide. The role will be based at Tritech’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ulverston, on the edge of the beautiful Lake District National Park.
The Finance Director will report into the Managing Director. In this role you will focus on setting, executing, measuring, and delivering on the company strategy from a financial perspective.
You will manage key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally this includes:
- Board of Directors, senior management across the company, parent company colleagues both upstream and downstream.
- Banking relationships, insurers, customers, vendors, HMRC, auditors, collaborators (e.g., Scottish Enterprise, KTP partners)
From an accounting perspective you will be responsible for:
- Managing and reporting the financial position of the Company.
- Reporting to local management, to Moog IG and to Moog Corporate.
- Be responsible for payroll and all associated processes.
- Have oversight of all the VAT, Sales Tax, and all associated processes.
- Maintain the accounting framework, rules of engagement and probity of the finance function.
- Ensure and maintain compliance with relevant statutory and professional frameworks
In relation to financial planning and analysis (FP&A) you will devise, maintain, and report financial plans, forecasts and budgets and reporting variance analysis to the local management team and the wider Moog organisation.
With treasury, capital funding and investment appraisals you will manage the net working capital and the foreign currency risk according to the business needs you will also source, advise & manage on capital funding issues and investment appraisals.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that all internal controls across the finance function are robust, appropriate, adequate and adhered to and meet the minimum standards required by external professional bodies such as ICAEW, HMRC.

- Financial planning and analysis
- Multi-company, multi-currency environment.
- Cashflow and NWC management.
- Consolidations both local and parent.
- Receivables/payables oversight
- Solid knowledge of VAT, PAYE, pensions regulations, IR35 and all other relevant aspects of payroll and other engagement with HMRC.
- Corporation tax planning and compliance.
- Manufacturing accounting.
- Margin and variance analysis under standard cost regime.
- Long term contract accounting and project accounting.
- Fixed assets and capital investment and appraisal.
- Foreign currency management & hedging

This role is working 37.5 hours per week working a flexible pattern with the core hours of 9am-3pm Monday-Thursday. Option to finish from 12.30pm on Fridays if time has been accrued during the week.
