Moog Aircraft Group is looking for a Finisher B on 1st shift to perform various bench and machine operations (cleaning, polishing, breaking edges, etc.) This position is located at our aerospace plant in Torrance, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repetitive bench and machine operations to clean, polish, break edges, form radii, blend defects on mainly fixturing or low complexity hardware.
- Remove contamination, remove excess material, remove flash, remove nodules from EDM operations, and detect unusual defects in material or workmanship.
- Use hand tools, hand scrapers, small sand stones, small power tools, abrasive blast, belt sanders, and buffing wheels. Parts are held in the hand or in simple fixtures.
- Tasks tend to be external and repetitive with some more complex internal finishing.
- Work from operation sheets, blueprints, and sketches to plan sequence of work.
- Ability to select, sharpen, and/or make special tooling as required, as well as selecting lighting aids, inspection gages and visual magnification as required in order to meet quality specifications
- Excellent visual acuteness and eye/hand coordination are required to perform the job
- Exceptional attention to detail in order to visually inspect one’s own work to ensure that parts meet the quality and quantity required, as well as being able to detect abnormalities and reacting them
- May operate bench grinders, polishers and other bench machinery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 5 year or more in Finishing, Polishing and Deburring experience
- This position require access to export controlled information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred 10-15 years in Finishing, Polishing and Deburring experience
- Experience in machining and manufacturing environment
- Experience in aerospace
