Machine Repair Technician II - Orrville, OH

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Continually strive to stay current with leading edge machining technologies; including learning how to operate and repair
  • Experience high variability in type of work with limited procedures for guidance; must be able to effectively interface with OEMs or distributors for support
  • Be expected to be self-motivated and able to work through issues as they arise without direction
  • Stay current with new machine technologies by participating in OEM and other training as required
  • Travel both domestically and internationally to support new or potential machine acquisitions and training
  • Always recognize and avoid potentially unsafe conditions

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Technologies or related skilled-trades degree (preferred)
  • Experience with Industrial Automation highly desired.
  • Strong communications skills to interact with end users and management on technical details of issues with production equipment
  • Ability to excel at working and communicating with other members of the Machine Repair team, sharing technical information and experience, providing support, assistance, and training
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word
