Marketing Analyst II
The Marketing Analyst is responsible for performing research, analyzing data, and providing timely and
actionable recommendations. The Research Analyst will accomplish this through a variety of standard and adhoc assignments in support of current business sectors/product lines and markets as well as the investigation of new opportunities. The position reports to the Marketing Director and will also work closely with the Aircraft Group Leadership team including the Sector General Managers, Program Directors and Sales Managers to assess their needs for research, structure projects to achieve specific goals and assist in the interpretation of research findings. The scope of these activities will include analysis of markets, competitors, products/ services, customer programs and pricing. To accomplish these tasks the candidate will need to perform both primary and secondary research. The candidate will need to work independently on several concurrent tasks with success dependent on the candidate’s ability to prioritize tasks and meet the changing needs of the organization.
This position also involves working collaboratively with marketing personnel from other Moog operating groups on joint projects. The ability to synthesize abstract data and draw accurate and meaningful conclusions is critical. The candidate must be organized, highly motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills. Project management including the ability to oversee multiple complex assignments with a high level of accuracy are important skill requirements of this position. A high level of proficiency with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word is also required.

Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA with specialization in Marketing preferred.
- Broad knowledge of the principles, practices, and processes of technical marketing with detailed understanding of quantitative research methods, web-based research and corporate finance.
- 5-7 years of research and analysis within a technically based business-to-business environment.
- Firm understanding of the aerospace market with detailed understanding of customers, system integrators and tier 2-3 key suppliers.
- The ability to thrive in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity and little supervision.
- Ability to think and communicate at a strategic level.
