Mechanical Technician (A)
Pay starts at $13.50 per hour, benefits start your first day!
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, inspect, and repair mechanical gauging/inspection equipment
- Work with program engineers/supervision or group leaders in the procurement of mechanical inspection devices
- Read and interpret Engineering/Tool design drawings and/or specifications
- Provide mechanical evaluations or analysis as requested
- Make complex gauge repairs and research new gauges for inspection/production use
- Perform daily communications and data retention using Microsoft Office and Excel
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent along with technical schooling in a related background
- Strong background in fractions, decimals, English/metric conversions, basic trigonometry, algebra, and geometry
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Working knowledge on standard mechanical lab test equipment
- Experience with making complex gauge repairs and researching new gauges for inspection/production use
- Self-motivated with good eyesight
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
- Prior knowledge in daily activities of a mechanical calibration lab
This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
