Pricing Supervisor (Defense Sector)

Moog Space and Defense Group in East Aurora is looking for a Pricing Supervisor to act as the focal point for all customer and government audits and fact-finding activity. You’ll direct the preparation for these meetings and participate where needed. The Defense Sector Pricing Supervisor is responsible for all pricing activities.
Day- to-Day Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for the preparation of new program cost estimates, assuring reasonableness of all costs in order for management to make intelligent pricing and investment decisions.
- Negotiate final pricing, on behalf of the corporation for contracts up to and at times exceeding $10 million, assuring a reasonable profit for the Space and Defense Group.
- Full responsibility for follow on program proposals assuring recognition of all program cost elements along with analysis and interpretation of prior program cost data to assure overall program and Space and Defense Group profitability.
- Perform financial analysis, set department budgets and other special projects directed by management.
- Selection, training and performance of the cost engineers.
- Maintain and promote good customer relationships while dealing in the adversarial environment of contract price negotiations.
Here’s what you’ll bring with you…
- A BS Degree preferably in a financial or engineering discipline (MBA preferred) and at least 5 years of experience in a cost engineering capacity. Manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or assembly and test background is desirable.
- High level of human relations and interpersonal skills to successfully lead cost personnel and represent Moog in contract fact finding and negotiations.
- Knowledge of and compliance with FAR and DFARs.
