Moog Space and Defense Group is the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for the following markets: satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, naval vessels, and security and surveillance. Emerging areas of focus include metal additive manufacturing, blockchain for supply chain, sensor integration, and propulsion test facilities.

Moog is looking for multiple Production Operators to work at the Central facility, located at 1213 North Main Street, Blacksburg, VA.

*This will be a full-time position,40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Complete basic assembly operations using required manufacturing documentation
  • Correctly store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates and seals
  • Perform electrical testing using automated test equipment
  • Solder, read from blueprints, and use microscopes
  • Complete paperwork required for each part, accurately & legibly
  • Perform minor rework per Standard Rework Procedures., Quality History Tag Instructions, or rework router
  • This job requires access to US export-controlled information.

Required Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Quality conscious and have a mechanical aptitude with good dexterity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate experience in reading blueprints is a plus
  • Ability to use a microscope on small parts for long periods of time
  • Self-motivated and able to multitask
