Job Summary
Moog Aircraft Group is looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join the Test Equipment function at our Wolverhampton site. The Test Systems are comprised of mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and software components. At Moog, we strive to ensure our Test Systems are safe, of the highest quality, and delivered on time, on budget, and with the flexibility to allow Moog to maximize its investment. These Test Systems support the Production Acceptance Testing, and/or Qualification testing of a wide range of Moog Aircraft Flight Control Systems and Components.
As a Test Equipment Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating project activities to ensure the delivery of complex Test Systems in line with our customer requirements.
You will also be responsible for coordinating activities with multi-discipline technical teams across multiple locations to define, develop, deploy, and release complex test equipment solutions in accordance with Moog’s Common Development Processes and Procedures. You will also support Root Cause investigations into all aspects of the Test Equipment Systems and/ or components as required.
Key Expertise:
- The successful incumbent will ideally possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) within a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical). In lieu of a degree-level qualification, significant relevant experience will be considered.
- Ideally, you’ll have 5yrs. experience in design and development testing within a relevant engineering sector (Aerospace, Automotive, Test Equipment).
- Prior experience in the development of test equipment solutions for servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems is an advantage.
- A Project Management qualification (APM, etc.) would be beneficial, but not essential.

- This role is working 37 hours per week; 8.25 hours per day Monday to Thursday (start between 7.30 am and 8:30 am, finish between 16:30 and 17:30), and 4 hours on Friday (start between 7.30 am-8:30 am and finish between 11:30 and 12:30).
