Moog Industrial Group specializes in high-performance motion control products and solutions for a variety of industrial applications including plastics, metal forming, power generation, flight simulation, automotive and aerospace testing, oil and gas exploration, wind energy, plus many others.

 

Toolmaker (B)

Pay starts at $15.00 per hour, benefits start your first day of work!

 

Works in the construction, repair, maintenance, and calibration of machine shop tools, jigs, fixtures, and instruments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machine tools and performs other skilled work from drawings
  • Sketch with tool request from foreman or manufacturing engineers on what is required and when
  • Analyze mentally, consult handbooks and tables as required
  • Cut material from stock or orders
  • Draw tools from tool crib
  • Lay out work and does all machining
  • Does heat treating/grinding or other special processes

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Typically, at least 3 years of experience in tooling (not including trade school)
  • Must understand safety in using and be able to perform precision duties in the fabrication of tools and fixtures
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision and understand all phases of machine tool and die practice and be able to work close tolerance to +/-.0005

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 year trade school graduate in machine tool and die
  • Tool and fixture design in drafting or CAD
  • NIMS certification
  • CNC machine experience

 

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
