Moog Advanced Programs (AP) West, a business unit of Moog Space and Defense, is looking for a Flight Software DevOps. Engineer to join our Space Vehicles team in Arvada, CO. Moog AP West specializes in passive and active vibration suppression/load alleviation products and services, spacecraft buses and sub-systems, spacecraft and payload structure and propulsive accommodations, and precision motion control.

The Arvada Office is next to RTD Light-Rail and is a short commute to Golden.  Colorado offers year-round outdoor activities and is a melting pot of cultures.

The Space Vehicles team is rapidly growing and comprises a cross-disciplinary group of industry veterans and young talent alike. The focus is on the development of satellite buses, Orbital Maneuvering Vehicles (OMVs), space tugs, and more. The team is a tight-knit group of collaboration-oriented professionals that welcome others looking to work on multi-faceted, complex problems as a team.

The role includes the following: Manage Lab Environments, Perform bare metal server installs, Perform CI/CD tool updates, Design Automate Testing solutions, Write test procedures and test plans; Create scripts for test procedures and automated test; Installing and configuring Flight Hardware and Software.  Secondary responsibilities include the following: Review requirements and design documents; Interface with System Engineers and Software Developers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. (4 year) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Integration, Test or related experience.

  • Linux/Windows System Administration or related experience

  • Self-Starter, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and can communicate effectively.

  • This position requires access to US Export Controlled Information

 Preferred Experience / Qualifications:

  • 10 of experience in Integration, Test or related experience.

  • Experience managing lab environments

  • Experience using Atlassian Tool Suite or related experience

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Bamboo, Jenkins.

  • Experience managing servers

  • Experience managing Docker Containers

  • Experience writing automated tests.

  • Experience reviewing requirements and writing detailed test procedures.

  • Experience with test planning and execution.

  • Experience with Spacecraft Flight Software development and design.

  • Experience verifying Flight Software.

  • Experience with Spacecraft Flight Hardware and Software integration.

  • Experience with one of the following ground software programs: COSMOS, InControl, MAXGDS.

  • Experience with MAX Flight Software.

  • Experience with program and design review process (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).

  • Experience using VxWorks, or other RTOS.

  • Experience in C/C++, Python3, XML and scripting language (Linux Shells).

  • Experience with the Agile development process.

  • Experience interacting with customer and managing customer needs.

  • Experience interacting with subcontractors.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Salary negotiations start at $90,000
