Space Vehicles Senior Program Manager

Our AP West group is a smaller unit with a development-group feel and we are looking for a self-directed Senior Program Manager that is willing to take on a variety of roles and tasks to help our business thrive. Because we are a small group, you will have the opportunity to touch every part of the program life cycle from concept to flight. This position reports into the Space Vehicles business area, based out of Arvada, Colorado.

As a Space Vehicles Senior Program Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for program communications with the customers and Moog Management. You will work closely with the lead systems engineer and project leads to meet the schedule and cost objectives for the program. You will be responsible for all programmatic aspects of the program including contractual compliance, planning, staffing, execution to cost and schedule, risk management, change management.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

 

Program Manager Job Duties...

  • Partner with the Contract Manager to ensure compliance with contract requirements through coordination and management of all program activities
  • Achieve program/project objectives through effective application of program management principles within the confines of scope schedule and budget defined by the program/project sponsor
  • Sustain and expand the organizations book of business through the leadership and/or support of proposal teams and business capture campaigns
  • Drive the programs from proposal through execution and closeout.
  • Contribute to the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel
  • Lead Program Review sessions to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance
  • Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write ups
  • Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individual
  • Knowledge of spacecraft programs a big plus

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent, plus 3-5 years of program management experience preferred
  • Excellent communications and organization skills
  • Self-motivation and willingness to adapt and make changes and improvements to meet business needs
  • Ability to organize multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated Product Development Experience
  • Negotiations start at $120K

 

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
