Job Summary
Moog is currently recruiting within the Assembly & Test function at Moog Aircraft Group based in Tewkesbury. The A&T Technician will be responsible for carrying out Assembly and Test tasks on Moog Products. This will include cleaning of parts ready for assembly; building and testing Moog products; carrying out diagnostic tests to verify failure; disassembling products to carry out rework; flow matching operations and wire locking/labeling/finishing techniques.
This is a stamp holder position so we are looking for applications from individuals who can produce work of a high quality and progress their own work through to final inspection. The role will require you to work in accordance with approved documentation, so we are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail who is skilled at following instructions.
The A&T Technician will initially join on a day shift (see hours below) and will need to have flexibility to work other shifts if required. The Technician will report into the Production Supervisor via a Cell Leader (when working days, or Shift Leader if working shifts).
Key Skills
- Previous experience within a similar role in a production environment (Aerospace or equivalent). You’ll need to demonstrate competent use of a range of relevant hand tools, gauges and measuring equipment.
- Ideally the successful applicant will have completed an engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent) but we welcome applications from those who have gained this knowledge through considerable work experience.
- The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate diagnostic skills within a previous role and will possess the ability to understand basic Servovalve Operation.
- Ideally you will have been a stamp holder already in your career, if not able to demonstrate self-inspection of products to a high degree
- Ideally you’ll have worked with approved documentation in a previous role, and demonstrate your ability to accurately record data.
- The successful incumbents will be required to complete an eye test.
- It would be a distinct advantage if you understand 5S principles; if not training will be provided. We’re looking for people who will actively participate to improve 5S score.

- This role is working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm with 30 mins unpaid lunch, and Friday 7.30am – 1pm with no break).
