 Electronics Design Engineer
Johnson City, TN

  • We are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to be responsible for the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of complex digital control hardware utilized in military and aerospace applications. Working alone or as part of a team, you will be a primary contributor to the analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of complex hardware.

Here’s what you’ll be working on day to day:

  • Contribute to the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel while working in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment.

  • Design and develop hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.

  • Conduct hardware level integration and test.

  • Support various aspects of technical project planning, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules and technical interface meetings throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Ensure traceability between customer requirements and system requirements

  • Develop engineering test requirements and unit/subsystem/system test plans.

  • Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its leading-edge technical reputation.

 Here’s the skills we need you to bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering (or similar) plus two to five years of relevant design and development experience

  • Experience with high-speed digital and analog circuit designs relating to Internet of Things (IoT), Layer 2+ Ethernet switches, Ethernet PHYs. DC/DC Power management, Signal retimers and redrivers, and MCUs.

  • Experience with industry standard communication protocols such as USB, CAN, RS422, RS485, SPI, I2C, and UART.

  • Experience in taking a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level to development of a complete hardware design, and verification via test and integration.

  • Experience in managing schedule and resources to meet assigned milestones.

  • Proficiency in the use of Ecad Software. Preferably Orcad Schematic Entry and Cadence Allegro PWB Layout
