Software Design Engineer

We are looking for a Software Design Engineer to design, develop, modify, and evaluate complex software based designs for the military and aerospace markets. You will also be responsible for the development of application specific software solutions for integration into complex embedded systems. The Software Design Engineer will operate as part of a design/development team, which includes other department engineers.
Here’s what you’ll be working on day to day:

Assist with implementation of software designs including coding, testing, and documentation.

Create detailed plans for the implementation of software solutions including input into the determination of language, platform, and resource requirements.

Perform code maintenance including debugging and updating to keep pace within a fast paced and evolving design environment.

Electrical laboratory test setup planning, design, and debug

Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its leading-edge technical reputation.
Here’s the skills we need you to bring with you:

BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field.

Minimum two years of software engineering experience.

Experience with design and development of software using C, C++, C# and Python.

Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

Experience with Object-Oriented Design.

Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to successfully complete projects in a timely manner

Experience with Jira, Git, or BitBucket.

Experience with Test Automation using Python.

Experience with commercial Managed Ethernet switch software, ARM, DSP and GPU processors are considered a plus.
