Maintenance Technician
Moog Aircraft Group in Torrance, California is looking for a Maintenance Technician on 1st Shift to support our Facility Operations Department. This position is located at our aerospace plant in Torrance, CA.

Maintenance Technician’s Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and Repair CNC equipment and machining centers for fabrication of raw materials into finished parts maintaining company high quality and machine standards.
- Install, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair AC motors, AC/DC controls, conduit, and wire.
- Install, program, maintain and troubleshoot Multiple controls and drive systems(Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens)
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot servos and servo drives.
- Test, inspect, calibrate, install, troubleshoot, and repair analog and digital instrumentation and monitoring devices such as Level Indicators, Flow Meters, Scales, , Densimeters, Pressure Transducers, Thermocouples and Motion Control equipment.
- Work with predictive technologies, as well as HMI, Virtual Machine, Industrial Networking, and other computer software tools to prevent, identify, diagnose, and repair faults in control logic or equipment and to improve operational performance and reliability.
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external technical resources.
- Perform preventive maintenance of a variety of machines on a regular basis.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repairs of production machines.
- Adhere to all Safety policies and maintain a safe working environment. (LOTO, NFPA, OSHA)
- Work in an orderly manner and responsible for safety and good housekeeping at all times.
Basic Qualifications and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Two year technical degree in electronics, instrumentation, industrial controls or robotics or 5 plus years demonstrable experience with such. Preferred candidate will have the two year technical degree and 2 to 3 years hands on experience.
- 5+ years' experience working in a maintenance role required.
- Must have extensive knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, OSHA, and other safety regulations and rules.
- Knowledge of M codes and G codes.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
- Able to successfully pass background and drug screen.
- This position require access to export controlled information.
Essential Functions:
- Create and maintain a safe work environment
- Read and interpret sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces or sequence of operations.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Adjust machine controls as required and document changes according to company procedure.
- Make offset adjustments and perform maintenance maintaining dimensional integrity.
