Moog Medical Devices Group (MMDG) designs, manufactures, and distributes industry-leading enteral feeding and infusion pumps. Through investment in research & development and relying on our vast expertise, we design and develop advanced infusion systems that improve medication safety, optimize application performance and reduce medical expenses.
We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to increase the profit margin of Moog product while maintaining FDA compliance, meeting customer demand and expectations. Other focuses will be on the development of new production lines to ensure that a repeatable and lean process is in place for production launch of new product.
Outcomes
• Maintain FDA compliance with no major findings
• Increase first pass and final pass yields to 4 sigma levels
• Increase profit margins on Moog products
• Reduce scrap on production lines
Skills
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Statistical analysis along with an understanding of the Design of Experiments
• Technical writing for highly regulated environment
• Fixture design
• Solidworks, or other 3D modeling software
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and produce working prototypes
• Have an understanding of Basic, Digital electronics principles and Analog electronics
• Understanding of basic and integrated circuit electronics principles
• Understanding of bills of materials and product structures.
• Root cause analysis
• Good negotiation skills
• IPC-610 Certified
Experience
• Production line development
• Automation equipment maintenance
• Medical device and/or AS 91000 regulatory experience
• Electro mechanical assemblies
• Experience with installation, operational, and process qualifications for equipment.
• Implementation of Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA’s)
• Material Review Board and experience with non-conforming (NCR) material investigations
• Continuous improvement implementation throughout your area responsibility.
• Troubleshooting product and automation equipment.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s (B.S.) in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a four-year accredited university; or 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
