Moog’s Space and Defense Group (SDG) offers premier motion and flow control solutions for satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, naval vessels, as well as security and surveillance.
As an Associate Program Manager in Moog SDG, you’ll have a unique opportunity to work with our Business Development Teams. This position will support proposal development and execution across multiple business markets and customers. You’d be a point-of-contact to our customers throughout the proposal process and work directly with Moog cross-functional proposal teams.
Here’s what you’ll work on:
- Plan and direct team activities through the proposal preparation schedule and execution until proposal delivery.
- Responsible for customer communication throughout the proposal lifecycle.
- Responsible for coordinating both internal and external meetings during the proposal process, while documenting proposal decisions and strategy.
- Responsible for acting as a liaison with our customer and providing customer feedback to the proposal team, coordinating fact-finding and negotiation activities.
- Responsible for understanding proposal content, assisting proposal organization and generation, along with coordinating specific proposal submittal instructions.
- Responsible to process the ability to clearly and precisely express complex issues in writing.
These are the skills you’ll bring with you:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of proposal related work experience. In lieu of a four-year degree, equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Excellent listening and persuasive skills to both understand and expedite where necessary. In addition, people skills must be used in handling the customer in a positive manner regardless of the situation.
- Strong communication skills to make presentations to small and large groups of customers, as well as to Moog employees. Must have basic writing skills for customer and Moog communications.
- Must have a basic understanding of the Moog products in the proposal. Exceptional organizational skills and in the Microsoft suite of software (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be comfortable working with large groups of people and effectively managing competing priorities.
