Moog Industrial Group specializes in high-performance motion control products and solutions for a variety of industrial applications including plastics, metal forming, power generation, flight simulation, automotive and aerospace testing, oil and gas exploration, wind energy, plus many others.

Key Account Manager

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing the relationship between key accounts and Moog.  They are responsible for ensuring that the customer is satisfied with Moog product and support, while meeting internal commercial metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Expanding Scope of Supply, Growing revenue, and profitability at the Key Account(s).
  • Nurturing New Accounts in the Automotive Test Market.
  • Developing and Managing Rep Channel.
  • Maintaining timely, accurate forecast information in the Horizons tool.
  • Managing account and opportunity information in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Take a lead role in developing the Miller Heiman Gold Sheet for the Key Account in conjunction with the rest of the Key Account Team for specific accounts as needed.
  • Setting priorities with the Key Account Team in terms of delivering products, services, and support to the Key Account(s).
  • Managing the CPI process in conjunction with the delivery of proposals to the Key Account(s).
  • Meeting or exceeding Moog’s revenue and profit objectives at the Key Account(s).
  • Working with the Key Account Team to maintain good standing on Key Account(s) Score Card(s).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
  • Experience in the Automotive Test Market preferred.
  • Typically, 4-6 years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field of technical sales.
  • Proven general capabilities/competencies in direct sales, contract negotiations, relationship building and account management.
  • Proven specific capabilities/competencies in developing accurate forecasts and achieving sales goals.
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams.
  • Understanding of basic motion control.
  • Key Competencies:  Adaptability, Influencing Others, Planning and Organizing, Strategic Decision Making, Technical/Professional Knowledge, Developing Strat Relationships, Establishing Strategic Direction
  • Travel required up to 50%.

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
