Financial Program Cost & Schedule Analyst
We are searching for two Financial Program Cost & Schedule Analysts, one for our Aircraft Group, and the other for our Space & Defense Group. As the Program Cost & Schedule Analyst, you will be responsible for both the financial and schedule performance of the program. The Finance portion of the role will be responsible for sales forecasting, cash flow management, and performance to plan analytics. The scheduling portion will be responsible for developing integrated master plans and schedules in support of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS). You will be a subject-matter expert for scheduling and for current scheduling software (MS Project online). You will be a key contributor to the ICAS team to foster continuous improvements in the Integrated Cost & Schedule Group EVMS system.
Good Analysts blend both aspects of cost management and schedule performance to provide both insights into the current performance and to assist the organization in forecasting what the future will bring. The Analyst should be familiar with the roles and responsibilities of everyone who participates in the program and often orchestrates participation from other team members in providing data for the EVMS.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Developing and accurately maintaining integrated master/sub-project schedules, ensuring schedule logic is maintained (horizontal & vertical).
- Consolidating cost and schedule data to calculate and analyze program performance which helps identify significant variances that trip reporting thresholds.
- Developing ad hoc reporting and analysis which identify financial trends within the monthly reporting cycle to improve program execution.
- Coordinating work activities with project team members, progressing schedules, and assisting in identifying and resolving schedule conflicts.
- Conducting detailed analysis of major Program Events as well as key intermediate milestones.
- Working with the Program Manager to analyze and interpret performance data for monthly reporting and presentation to senior management.
- Working with the finance organization to ensure cost management policies are being maintained
- Interpreting the status for potential cost and/or schedule impacts and communicating said impacts to control account/program manager and Integrated Product Team Leads.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Accounting, or a related field and 3 years of relevant work experience demonstrating strong analytical, problem resolution, organizational, program management, and leadership abilities.
- In lieu of a degree, equivalent experience may be accepted. Equivalent experience may include leading teams on complex development projects, applying current Defense industry standards for schedule assessments, and producing analytical schedule reports for customers.
- Knowledge of cost management and scheduling concepts is preferred.
- Knowledge in schedule management from initial schedule development through program completion.
- Experience using MS Project, earned value measurement (EVM) techniques in cost and schedule performance management is preferred.

- Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Ability to travel domestic and/or internationally – approximately 5%.
