Senior Financial Analyst

Our Space & Defense Group in East Aurora, NY is hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst.
The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Assistant Group Controller in the Space and Defense Group. This individual will play an integral role in the financial consolidation and closing process of the Group. In addition, this individual will provide financial support to various initiatives and projects across the group.
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the following...

Ensuring proper financial reporting by all sites within the Space and Defense Group in accordance with U.S. GAAP, internal consistency and company policies.

Consolidating monthly, quarterly and annual financial results and prepares and/or reviews various internal financial analyses used by senior management.

Application development for financial reporting and consolidation system. This includes system enhancements, system access, application development, software upgrades and training personnel

Providing Monthly/quarterly close support, including review of account reconciliations and review of supporting journal entries

Cash flow reporting and forecasting processes across the Group.

Analysis and report out on accounting system information to support development and monitoring of adequate direct labor, overhead and G&A rates for Space and Defense Group’s domestic operations

Providing financial support for SDG Group Supply Chain, Group IT and Lean Quality Support functions.

Supporting annual budgeting process, with a focus on the Group’s capital budget

DCAA/DCMA/EY audit support

Special projects as required including various accounting research projects
Minimum Requirements to be considered…
-
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant public accounting or industry experience
-
Proven general capabilities in accounting and strong knowledge of current US GAAP
-
A high level of independent judgment, professionalism and integrity is required
-
Excellent analytical, planning, communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
-
Experience with financial software systems is required, such as SAP or similar
-
The ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent projects is required as well as flexibility in a complex environment
Preferred Qualifications:

CPA license preferred

Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, DFAR, DCAA/DCMA guidelines, Indirect Rates, Forward Pricing Agreements
