Subcontracts Cost & Price Analyst
This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

We are currently adding a Subcontracts Cost & Price Analyst whose focus will be to ensure that Moog and its subcontractors are adhering to and are in compliance with all Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) requirements. This role is specialized to Moog and Government Compliance needs.
A day in the life as a Subcontracts Cost & Price Analyst with Moog:
- Understand the subcontractor’s cost accounting systems and obtain all relevant cost and pricing data Moog is legally entitled to under the FAR.
- Analyze the data to determine the true future cost of the subcontractor’s product.
- Control the costs of its subcontractors while maintaining and enhancing Moog’s relationship with its subcontractor network.
- Detect and identify any cost inefficiencies in the subcontractor’s manufacturing system.
- Operate in sensitive areas of subcontract fact finding and negotiating.
- Development of subcontract chronicles including historical cost files to improve Moog’s process and enhance future negotiation results.
Abilities required to achieve success in this role:
- Above average level of human relations and inter-personal skills to successfully represent Moog while maintaining supplier and customer relationships.
- Strong financial background in cost accounting system, along with a working knowledge of engineering processes, hardware manufacture and supporting functions.
- Broad legal experience to successfully analyze and negotiate all elements of a FAR compliant subcontract proposal.
- Effectively lead a team as well as being an effective team contributor and collaborator.
- Aggressive approach to obtain all relevant data Moog is entitled to per the FAR and TINA reaching successful financial settlements while maintaining and nurturing customer and subcontractor relationships.
- Work with minimal supervision and carrying forward the customer and Moog’s philosophy of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a financial, logistics or engineering discipline. An MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in a Cost Engineering, Cost Analyst or Supply Chain position.
- Thorough working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
- Proven capabilities / competencies in contract fact findings and negotiations.
